The Singlewide For The Residential Subdivision Developer

As more and more Americans find themselves priced out of the site built housing market and as off site sales figures continue trending down, the savvy entrepreneur will pick out an emerging opportunity: Repackage manufactured homes in such a ways as to make them an attractive, affordable alternative. Here, for example, is a courtyard centric package kitted out with carport, storage, outdoor kitchen, outdoor living and dining, and spa - and a raised terrace on the street. Street trees and shrubbery give a boost to curb appeal. A fresh approach to the singlewide plan is carried out which dispenses with hallways while making each of 3 bedrooms an en suite, giving each its own bath.

As a design criteria the 40' x 125' lot platting so commonplace in manufactured home communities was followed. This generates a density of some 8 homes per acre. Due attention was paid to facilitating the indoor / outdoor lifestyle which has great appeal to the American homebuyer. An outdoor kitchen is conveniently located next to the indoor kitchen. Outdoor dining and living each get retractable awnings as does the spa. A generous weathertight space next to the carport works for storage, housing mechanicals, and workbench / man cave.
