CNC Routed Plugs and Sockets With Pocket Hole Connections
A 4ft x 8ft CNC Router with vacuum table and Automatic Tool Changer makes it straightforward to mill panel pieces with both 'plugs' and 'sockets'. This ensures pieces are precisely aligned and carry loads from wood to wood rather than just from wood to screw to wood as is the case with pocket holes alone. Note that there is always a small radius on the concave plug routes. Milling a matching radius fillet on the socket makes for a perfectly seated connecttion.
