The Usonian Manufactured Housing Community

In my opinion one of the best designs for the suburban residential home is Frank Lloyd Wright's 1953 NYC Usonian Exhibition house, a demonstration project set up as part of a tribute to Wright's legacy on the site where now stands the Guggenheim Museum. The Exhibition House devotes the lion's share of its space to its open plan living and dining room while the bedrooms are kept small. The front of the house serves as a privacy wall while the back where the living / dining area is, is all glass doors and windows. Borrowing from this design for the manufactured home, the living / dining space is given the full width of the house and made 35 feet long. The kitchen is laid out galley style running 25 feet along the windowless back wall. The master bedroom doubles as office and is fitted with more space efficient wardrobe style closets. The other two bedrooms are configured with beds under / over like a bunk - but with full privacy, wardrobe closets and office space. A carport with space for two cars connects to the house through a fitted storage shed which is 30 feet long, 15 feet wide. The space between homes has complete privacy serving as a garden courtyard / outdoor room with spa at the back and covered outdoor kitchen near the front.

The house itself is around 78' x 16'. In localities where feasible, an extra 2 feet in width could be put to good use aka enlarging the unit to 76' x 18'. The lots are in keeping with the conventional 125' long x 40' wide scheme, yielding 8 units per acre. We would love to get your feedback.
