The Analysis / Synthesis microPod

Before the mind can function as an instrument of action, it must first function as an instrument of preparation. Preparation means reading. Reading is best done in a state of repose. The best state of repose is to recline. Once the mind is prepared, it is then able to act. In the case of most intellectual work this means to draw or write. Writing and drawing are usually best accomplished seated at a desk. Both preparation and action generally require concentration. Concentration is best attained in secluded private space, however small. Monetizing preparation and action is at present most successfully achieved as a company employee working in an office. Accordingly companies should provide private micro pods which foster analysis and cultivate synthesis.

As drawn the dimensions are approximately 5.5ft x 9 ft, or a footprint of ~50 sq ft. For Manhattan, assuming an office rental rate of $ 5 / sq ft / month this works out to $ 250 / month / employee.
